Multi-media SoC Platform Targeting Digital Surveillance,DVR and Video Streaming Devices
FIC8120 is a structured ASIC based SoC platform for internet digital video applications. It is an extremely flexible, efficient, and low-NRE way to customize an application specific video or image processing engines. The platform utilizes Faraday's patented Metal Programmable Cell Array (MPCA) library, a process very similar to that of a customized ASIC, except at a much lower upfront cost and shorter manufacturing turnaround time. On average, the FIC8120 takes only 10 days instead of over 60 days as in traditional 0.18μm, ASIC fabrication process. The built in software package and FIC8120-based EVB enables customers to complete their product design that fully utilize their own know-how and features.
Developing system & Software design kit
FIC8120 is a well-verified developing board that provides a mean for customers to focus on their system differentiation.
The IP camera solution, which includes the video server and cgi function, is developed with streaming network protocol to prove FIC8120 SDK's performance and functionality.
Software design kit, which includes OS and all of the peripheral and 802.11g wireless LAN driver, is provided to reduce software developing effort and entry barrier.
Besides, Faraday provides FA526-based Media Library like MP3/WMA/AAC/JPEG decoder, AV sync mechanism and FFMPEG application software to help customers enter into multimedia application markets.
