As a global leader in fabless ASIC design service company, Faraday anchors its export-control program on Compliance First, Risk Control, and Continuous Improvement. We operate a top-down, cross-functional governance framework that ensures full adherence to Taiwan’s Strategic High-Tech Commodities (SHTC) regime, the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and all other applicable laws and sanctions. Export-control requirements are institutionalized, operationalized, and systematized across the entire lifecycle—business development, technical exchanges and document transfers, supply-chain collaboration, outsourced manufacturing, shipping, and post-sales support—so that all products, technology, and software are exported, reexported, and transferred in-country lawfully, audibly, and traceably, meeting the expectations of customers, partners, and regulators. To ensure effective execution, Faraday reinforces the program with executive reviews, a cross-functional compliance working group, continuous training and internal audits, CAPA mechanisms, and evidence-based recordkeeping, enhancing both compliance resilience and operational agility.

Export-Control Governance

Faraday's export-control governance is executed through a cross-functional compliance working group under the direct oversight of the General Manager, who conducts periodic reviews of overall performance, key risks, and resource allocation. The Export Compliance Officer(ECO) leads the development, version control, and annual review of policies and SOPs; provides expert determinations on significant or complex cases; and takes real-time decisions and interventions on red-flag events. A cross-functional team comprising Operations, Legal, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Internal Audit meets on a fixed cadence to review high-risk cases, adopt written resolutions and action lists, assign ownership and timelines, and oversee the implementation of follow-up, effectiveness verification, and formal closure criteria, ensuring decisions are executed with rigor and continuously improved.
